WARRANTY

General Warranty

Fashion Interiors extends full manufacturers' warranties on all goods in accordance with factory guidelines based on normal use. Any items not specifically stated below are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects and will be handled in accordance with factory guidelines and time frames.

Warranty does not cover damages to any product due to abuse, misuse, or any freight mishandling. In order to determine the most effective resolution to any warranty claim we will require pictures that demonstrate the warranty claim to be provided by you to Fashion Interiors. To obtain service under these warranties or further inquiry, please contact our customer service department.

Below are our general warranties for Hunter Douglas, Somfy, Lutron, and Drapery.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

COVERED


  • Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product (unless shorter periods are provided below)
  • All internal mechanisms.
  • Components and brackets.
  • Fabric delamination.
  • Operational cords for a full 7 years from the date of purchase.
  • Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.
  • Hunter Douglas motorization components are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase.

NOT COVERED


  • Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Abuse, accidents, misuse or alterations to the product.
  • Exposure to the elements (sun damage, wind, water/ moisture) and discoloration or fading over time.
  • Failure to follow our instructions with respect to measurement, proper installation, cleaning or maintenance.
  • Shipping charges, cost of removal and reinstallation.

Eight Year Limited Warranty


This limited warranty (“Warranty”) covers the Lutron supplied (a) Serena Shades, (b) Sivoia Shade System, (c) Palladiom Shade System (each of the foregoing (a)-(c) being a “Shade System”), (d) manual shade system and

(e) alternating current or a/c shade system (each of the foregoing (a)-(e) being a “System”). Customer acknowl- edges and agrees that use of the System constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions of this Warranty.


Subject to the exclusions and restrictions described below, Lutron warrants that each System will be free from manufacturing defects from the date of shipment by Lutron for a period of (a) one year as to the wall controls, interfaces and system accessories of the Shade System (“External Components”) and (b) eight years as to the other Systems and the electronic drive unit, shade fabric and shade hardware of the Shade System. If any manufacturing defect exists in the External Components, so long as Customer promptly notifies Lutron of the defect within the one year warranty period and, if requested by Lutron, returns the defective part(s), Lutron will, at its option, either repair the defective part(s) or provide comparable replacement part(s). If any manufacturing defect exists in any of the components of a System other than the External Components, so long as Customer promptly notifies Lutron of the defect within the eight year warranty period and, if requested by Lutron, returns the defective part(s), Lutron will, at its option, either repair the defective part(s) or issue a credit to the Customer against the purchase price of comparable replacement part(s) purchased from Lutron.


Replacement parts for the System provided by Lutron or, at its sole discretion, an approved vendor may be new, used, repaired, reconditioned, and/or made by a different manufacturer.


EXCLUSIONS AND RESTRICTIONS


This Warranty will be void, and Lutron and its suppliers will have no responsibility under this Warranty, if Lutron or its representatives cannot access any components of the System to inspect, diagnose problems with or repair the System or any of its components as a result of concealment or inaccessibility of such components within a building structure.


This Warranty does not cover, and Lutron and its suppliers are not responsible for:


  1. Damage, malfunction or inoperability diagnosed by Lutron or a Lutron approved third party as caused by normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse, incorrect installation, neglect, accident, interference or environmental factors, such as (a) use of incorrect line voltages fuses or circuit breakers; (b) failure to install, maintain and operate the System pursuant to the operating instructions provided by Lutron and the applicable provisions of the National Electrical Code and of the Safety Standards of Laboratories; (c) use of incompatible devices or accessories; (d) improper or insufficient ventilation; (e) unauthorized repairs or adjustments or alterations; (f) vandalism; (g) an act of God, such as fire, lightning, flooding, tornado, earthquake, hurricane or other problems beyond Lutron’s control; or (h) direct exposure to corrosive materials.
  2. On-site labor costs to diagnose issues with, and remove, repair, replace, adjust, reinstall and/or reprogram the System or any of its components.
  3. Components and equipment external to the System, such as, non-Lutron lighting and automation systems; building wiring audio-visual equipment; and non-Lutron time clocks, photosensors and motion detectors.
  4. The cost of repairing or replacing other property that is damaged when any System does not work properly, even if the damage was caused by the System.

Limited Warranty

WHAT IS COVERED 


You can be sure that your fabric window treatment will be hand made to the exact specifications your window requires. Every product will be made with fine attention to detail and the highest standards of fabrication. Fashion Interiors extends a Warranty on custom fabrication and hardware for materials and workmanship defects reported within 90 days of original installation. If you notice any defect in materials or fabrication, notify us within the Warranty period and we will determine the best way expedite repair or remake your product in order to correct the defect. 


WHO IS COVERED 


This Warranty extends to the original residential retail purchaser. 


WHAT IS NOT COVERED 


This Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or any damage or loss caused by accidents; alterations; environmental effects; misuse or user error; abuse or extraordinary use; exposure to salt air; insect damage; improper cleaning and maintenance. Warranties shall cease to be in effect if product has been moved from its original place of installation. All fabrics, woods, metals, and painted or stained finishes will gradually lose their color intensity over time and with exposure to sun. This color loss can vary depending on fiber, material and degree of sun exposure and is not covered by the Warranty. 


WHAT WILL WE DO TO CORRECT DEFECTS


If Fashion Interiors drapery products are found to be defective during the Warranty period, we will at our discretion either; repair or replace, without charge, the defective product. Discontinued items will be replaced with the closest equivalent current product. 


CARE AND MAINTENANCE 


Never wash, launder or use a hot iron on your custom treatments. As needed, vacuum any accumulated dust from the surface of your treatment with a clean soft brush attachment. Depending on the conditions where the draperies are installed, professional dry cleaning may be needed approximately every three to five years. Only use reputable dry cleaners that specialize in cleaning custom drapery. 


NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES 


Repair or replacement of defective products is the sole remedy under this Warranty and in no event shall Fashion Interiors be liable for additional costs including incidental or consequential damages. 


INSTALLATION WARRANTY


This limited warranty is valid from the date of completion of installation up to 90 days for residential installations only. Installation warranty does not apply to product defects. Product defects are covered under the applicable product warranties.


WHAT WE DO


We can service any window covering product under warranty if the product has originally been installed by Fashion Interiors certified installers or other certified dealers.  The warranty for different brands varies, however, none covers the labor fees involved for pick up, delivery, installation and shipping charges.  Please contact Customer Service for further inquiry.
